Recently, Zhao Changjiang, general manager of BYD BYD Automotive Marketing Division, announced that the BYD N9 ( picture ) show car will arrive in stores around February 10, and is expected to be officially launched in late February or March.

From the exterior design point of view, the Denza N9 continues the latest design language of the Denza family and incorporates more hardcore elements. The front of the car adopts a closed design, and the square outline and narrow headlight group show the domineering of American muscle cars and the toughness of Land Rover Range Rover. The iconic C-shaped air duct and laser radar layout add a sense of technology to the whole car. In terms of body size, the Denza N9 has a clear advantage in the same class with a length of 5258mm and a wheelbase of 3125mm, even close to the standard of full-size SUV. Such a size design not only improves the space performance in the car, but also makes the whole car more advanced.

Entering the car, the interior design of the Denza N9 is also eye-catching. The center console adopts a three-screen layout, combined with a panoramic skylight, ambient light strips and aviation seats, creating an atmosphere of luxury and technology. The seat layout is a 2+2+2 six-seat design. The second row is equipped with two independent first-class seats, which support multi-directional electric adjustment, electric leg rests and small table boards, further improving the comfort of riding. In addition, the car is also equipped with practical configurations such as a double-door refrigerator and four 50W wireless fast charging panels to meet consumers' needs for convenience and comfort.

In terms of power, the Denza N9 offers two power options: pure electric and plug-in hybrid. The pure electric version is equipped with three motors with a total power of up to 710kW, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds; the plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a hybrid system consisting of a 2.0T engine and three motors, with a total power of 680kW and a pure electric range of more than 200km (depending on different working conditions). Such power performance far exceeds that of models of the same level, and you can feel the continuous power output whether it is starting acceleration or high-speed overtaking. At the same time, the Denza N9 is also equipped with BYD's first "Yisanfang" technology, which consists of rear-wheel dual-motor independent steering, air suspension and other technologies, which can realize compass U-turns, intelligent crab walking and other functions, improving the vehicle's control flexibility and driving experience.

However, as a high-end new energy SUV, the BYD N9 also faces some challenges. First of all, in terms of brand awareness, the BYD brand still has a certain gap compared to new energy brands such as Tesla and Weilai. This may affect consumers' purchasing decisions. Secondly, in terms of intelligent configuration, although the BYD N9 is equipped with an L2+ level intelligent driving assistance system and a multi-screen linkage central control system, the specific functional details have yet to be tested and verified. In addition, the price of the BYD N9 is relatively high. The price of the low-end model may exceed 400,000 yuan, and the high-end version will reach nearly 500,000 yuan, which may be a big threshold for ordinary consumers.

In terms of battery life, the performance of the Denza N9 is also worth noting. According to the information reported by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Denza N9 is equipped with a 46.992 kWh battery pack, and its pure electric range under WLTC conditions is 165 kilometers. Although this data is enough to cope with a week's charging needs in daily commuting, it may still need to rely on a plug-in hybrid system to provide sufficient battery life during long-distance travel. However, the comprehensive range of the Denza N9 exceeds 1,200 kilometers, which means that it can reduce its dependence on charging piles during long-distance travel, providing users with a more convenient travel experience.

In summary, as a high-end new energy SUV, the Denza N9 has demonstrated extremely high product strength in terms of exterior design, interior configuration, and power performance. However, there are still certain challenges in terms of brand awareness, intelligent configuration, and price. For consumers who pursue power performance and technological configuration, the Denza N9 is undoubtedly a choice worth considering. However, consumers also need to make rational decisions based on their actual needs and economic conditions when purchasing.
