This is a Platinum 1000 Patch Loom Kit for the KA24E and KA24DE Engines in the Model Year 1989-1994 Nissan 240sx. This Kit gives you a direct plug in upgrade for your engine management needs. The RPSport Patch loom utilizes the factory A/C, Idle control and Nissan Distributor Setup. There is NO modification to the Nissan Distributor Necissary. Haltech's Proprietary Nissan Optical Sensor research allows the Platinum 1000 ecu to read the KA series distributors with no modification, and OEM perfect accuracy.
This Kit also allows you to upgrade to an individual coil setup when you see fit. It is very simple to add in additional ignitors to the RPSport KA patch harness. RPSport also has wiring diagrams to assist you in adding the additional coils, for a screaming coil near plug (CNP) setup on your KA.
This Kit REPLACES COMPLETELY the factory Air Flow Meter Setup. The new setup will call for a MAP + Air Temp Sensor Setup. The platinum Sport ECU has a built in 2.5 bar map sensor, which will effectively measure boost up to 22psi. You will need to choose an air temp sensor, either 1/4 NPT or 3/8 NPT and have it installed just before the throttle body in your intake piping.
After that you can kiss your MAF Goodbye!
